LM555 – 555 LED Flasher Circuit

Today we build a LED Flasher circuit. We created blinking LED without using Arduino, by using the capacitor properties (charged and discharged) and an “and gate”. The switch distinguished between voltage differences, if there is no difference (both High) so it is Low and if one is Low and the other one is High the output is High.

The circuit diagram

  • 2 * 100 resistor
  • 4.7K resistor
  • 2.2K resistor
  • 20K pot (we used 100K instead)
  • 47uf capacitorimg_0196

The following video demonstrates how the circuit works. When the Pot is being spined it affects the blinking frequency.
