First Lab – Bodies in Motion

The first lab at bodies in motion was great. We first calibrated the space in the software Motive and then we played with our rigid objects in unreal. The best part that made me see all this new world’s endless possibilities was after Todd took one of the rigid objects and hooked a camera object to track it. From there putting on a virtual reality mask to it was unavoidable.

I tried virtual reality before but it was the first time I could move my body and travel in this world. It was a very writes experience, I felt like my eyes were folded so my body was not very willing to travel around but I could still see! I have never felt like this before.


At the lab, we first calibrated the working space than created the rigid objects and captured the live data.
