This week I created a web page that extends beyond the canvas, using p5.dom.js. Combining the two following pictures by using an opacity effect was challenging. Thus, I made the slider control the different blending modes instead.

 

An additional difficulty I run across was to restart the background by pressing the “clear button. While the clear() function was under the setup the “color” button did not work. The solution was to make False and True conditions with an “if” condition in order to connect the “clear” button (see sketch).

Update: After consulting with Shifman I realized that the tint() function will achieve the opacity effect I was looking for.

Create the following transparency function and call it in the draw() function.
