Enclosure

This week I made an enclosure to my Pcomp project.

At First, I had a whole different idea. I thought of making a wooden box from scratch. However, after sketching all the faces I could not figure out how to put them all together. Looking for another solution I found an old splitter metal box.

I used this ACE box as my enclosure.

First I pulled out the old board, LED and switch.

I used the Nibbling tool in order to cut the frame around the switch.

After spraying the box in black I made a wooden cover using the laser cutter in order to council the sockets’ holes.

And glued it with warm glue.

This is how it looks from the inside.

The fact that the speaker has a strong magnet enables me to use it as a cover. This is how it looks from the outside.
